Integrative Holistic Pediatrics

Michael Allen MD

A holistic approach to pediatrics focusing on your child’s unique needs, addressing not only the physical symptoms but also the emotional, social, environmental and spiritual aspects of health.

Dr. Allen is triple board certified in Pediatrics, Integrative-Holistic Medicine & Anthroposophic Medicine.

More than just a checkup, we’re partners in your child’s health.

Dr. Allen takes the time to listen to you and your concerns, without rushing you. We look at each individual child as a unique combination of body, soul, and spirit and considers the development of each of these aspects, taking the time to help you understand how it affects your child.

What to expect

  • Review your child’s prenatal, birth, and complete medical history.

  • Thorough evaluation of your child’s growth, nutrition, sleep, & emotional health.

  • A detailed developmental assessment and a comprehensive physical exam.

Giving you peace of mind and a plan to move forward

““The more we truly understand a specific child, and the more comprehensive our knowledge about the physical, emotional and spiritual development of children in general, the better we can support these individual children with their challenges, nourish their gifts, and help them blossom into the magnificent human beings they are meant to be.

I believe this is preventative care at its finest, and I strive to give my patient families the kind of care I want for my own family.”

We offer same day sick appointments. Dr. Allen prefers to use natural remedies and supplements to strengthen and stimulate your little one’s innate healing system, helping them to feel more comfortable while they heal, without suppressing their body’s own ability to self-heal.

With training in both conventional and integrative medicine, Dr. Allen also has the training and skills to recognize potentially serious situations that might call for the use of conventional medicine if the body gets overwhelmed. We use these to stabilize the body, and then uses more natural remedies to re-establish balance and achieve true healing.
